The ARIAS-US Education Committee will host a webinar focused on significant updates regarding bad faith law and their potential effect on insurers and potential implications for reinsurers.  The presenters will include a reinsurance executive, arbitrators and outside counsel specializing in representing insurers and reinsurers.  This Panel will discuss current trends in bad faith case law around the country and potential future trends, consider developments in claims handling strategies, evolving litigation tactics, increasing utilization of artificial intelligence, and more.  The Panel will also discuss the duty of utmost good faith, potential issues arising from a reinsurer’s right to associate, and reinsurance contract wording regarding eco/xpl exposure.  The webinar will capture how these developments may potentially affect direct insurers as well as the potential implications for reinsurers, and the arbitration community.
